SSID (network name)
An SSID is the name of a Wi-Fi network, the name you pick from the list of networks on your phone.
What it means for you
Some routers broadcast one name for all bands, and devices that only support 2.4 GHz can struggle with that. Changing your network name or password means each device has to be reconnected.
