2.4 GHz
2.4 GHz is the Wi-Fi band with the longest range and the lowest top speeds, and the one most smart plugs, bulbs and many cameras use.
What it means for you
If a smart device will not finish setup, check that your phone is on a 2.4 GHz network or that your router’s band names are not blocking the device. It is also the most crowded band, since neighbors’ networks and other household gadgets share it.
