6 GHz
6 GHz is the newest Wi-Fi band, available on Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices, with more open channels but a shorter range than the older bands.
What it means for you
Only newer devices can use it, and it works best close to the router or a mesh unit. It is a nice extra for fast laptops and phones, but it should not be your reason to buy a router for range.
