Matter controller
A Matter controller is the hub, speaker, display or app-based system that sets up and controls Matter devices, such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
What it means for you
Your controller is where you add Matter devices and run automations. It is not the same thing as a Thread border router, although one device can be both.
