Apple Home (HomeKit)
HomeKit is Apple’s smart home framework, shown in the Home app as Apple Home, for controlling accessories from iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
What it means for you
To control accessories when you are away and to run automations, you need a home hub, such as a HomePod or an Apple TV. A hub that is offline is a common reason accessories show No Response.
